Born October 6, 1846, George Westinghouse, Jr. was an entrepreneur and engineer responsible for inventing the railway air brake. He was also considered a pioneer on the electrical industry having been responsible for the collaboration in the invention of the AC or Alternating Current.
He died March 12, 1914. He turns 165 today.
